The cabinet is full of new goodies. The girls were swarmed with customers as they walked in with a basket of new pincushions. They put in some really fun super tiny ones. They are always a favorite. These are a couple of my favorites. I am really into the colors turquoise and white right now. I just love the vintage look of these two. Be sure to take a look in the case when you come in.

We were approached by a sign company to put a sign in our parking lot. Though the extra income would buy a new thread line, we just couldn’t do it. We didn’t want to look at it everyday. So the guy next door took it….. Our heart stopped when they put it in front of the shop (not to mentions the advertisement) Many of you asked “that is not going to stay there is it?” – Only for a couple of days and then the moving began.
These guys are really brave to stand underneath something this big hanging by a rope…
Two guys could steer this thing.
They had to twist and turn it into place – avoiding the power lines and trees….
We were relieved that they put it on the backside of his property, not in front of us. Though I do feel sorry for the people that live on that residential street that have to say “turn right at the big billboard, we are the second house on the right”. I’m still glad that it isn’t ours.
This was a longtime in the finishing…. I had this stitched months ago – maybe even a year! It took me this long to get it out and finally finish it! It is from the book Berry Nice Indeed by the Cricket Collection. There are very cute designs in this book, and not all are winter scenes. I just happened to stitch this when the snow was falling and finished it when the spring flowers came out…..
We have stitched many wonderful things from this book. Blackbird designs makes us smile. This needlebook and pincushion came from the book “A Stitcher’s Journey” and are stitched in the colors that Alma intended. Carolyn did the finish work and the results we couldn’t be happier with. We used french ribbons -the tie is crushed velvet. Who wouldn’t want to have this in their sewing collection?
